We will partner with you to help them learn self-control, good manners, and we will teach them to make healthy choices. We will provide the kind of patient understanding, solid consistency, and unconditional love that all children deserve.

Services

Camden Kids offers a variety of services tailored to the many needs of busy families. They include:

  • Full-time childcare for Six weeks through 12 years-old
  • Part-time child care (two and three days a week)
  • School-aged options such as; before school care, after school care and tutoring help.

Camden Kids Learning Center Facilities

Hours of Operation

Camden Kids Child Care is Open From: 6:30a.m. – 6:30p.m., Monday – Friday

Closed on the Following Days: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

*There is “No Reduction” of weekly tuition for these days.

Please note there may be additional days surrounding holidays when Camden Kids will be closed. We will give you as much notice as possible when if we find this necessary.

Staff / Teachers Education

All teachers are highly qualified individuals. They are required to be certified in CPR & First Aid. Staff will receive training in Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS) and Child Abuse/Neglect (CAN). They are also required to obtain annual continuing education through classes, seminars, workshops, conferences, and other related early childhood events. The teachers strive to create a warm, fun-loving atmosphere for each child enrolled at Camden Kids.

Weather Emergencies

Camden Kids will follow the Minneapolis Public Schools district closure policies. Please watch your local news for district closures information or call our voicemail system at 612-767-3097. Should a weather emergency fall on a scheduled childcare day, the contracted rate will still apply.

*If the Minneapolis Public Schools are delayed 2 hours, Camden Kids will do our best be open for our regular hours.

Curriculum

Here at Camden Kids, we believe every child deserves the opportunity for a high-quality educational experience. We offer physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual nurturing in a safe, Christian environment.

Each month, parents will receive a monthly calendar describing the themes of weekly topics we use here to spark. Children at Camden kids will pursue learning through a vast array of avenues: science activities, art projects, music: signing, playing simple instruments & musical games. They will develop physically: large muscles and gross motor skills, along with their small muscles & fine motor skills. Children will learn appreciation for reading through our “library time.” Their senses will thrill to our creative cooking experiences, and much more. We will work, play & learn the basics: colors, numbers, shapes, letters, names, etc. It is our goal to have your child confident & ready for kindergarten—on time.

Daily Schedule

Our daily schedule is very flexible to allow for unplanned events or other opportunities that may arise throughout the day. A Daily Schedule will be given to you at the time of enrollment and /or posted in your child’s classroom.

Family Style Dining

All meals are prepared and served in a manner appropriate for each developmental stage.  Meal times are a relaxing routine in which the staff sit and eat with the children while modeling appropriate behavior.  Meal times are used as a learning experience.  In classrooms where age appropriate, family style dining is practiced.  Children are able to serve themselves and assist in every part of serving the meal.  Each child will be given and encouraged to try each component of the meal being served.

Camden Kids provides high-quality foods that include daily breakfast, lunch, and snack.
